Five PSNI officers have suffered minor injuries after a stolen car crashed at a police check-point in Newcastle, Co.Down.
It was taken from the Castlewellan Road at around 8.40pm on Monday evening.
Police responded to the call and set up a vehicle check point on the Moygannon Road, Warrenpoint.
The driver of the car failed to stop and collided with two police vehicles, leaving the officers injured.
One of the police vehicles was 'extensively damaged'.
A 29 year old man was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including aggravated taking and driving away, dangerous driving, and possession of an offensive weapon.
He's currently in police custody.
