Gardai are hunting up to five men who raided a bingo hall in Dundalk.
The robbers were wearing halloween masks and carrying hammers and baseball bats.
During the incident on Wednesday night they took an undisclosed sum of cash.
Up to a hundred mainly elderly people were in the bingo hall at the time.
The thieves fled in a waiting car.
