A woman in her 40's has been found dead at a flat in the Raphoe area of Co.Donegal.
Gardai preserved the scene last night, and are waiting on the State Pathologist to arrive today.
It's understood the death is not being treated as suspicious, although investigations are continuing.
Ambulance staff alerted local Gardai at around 8pm after the discovery on William Street.
A local shop worker told QRadio news the woman was known in the area, but had suffered personal difficulties in recent weeks.
The member of staff, who did not want to be named, said people in the village were shocked at the news this morning.
It's expected a post mortem examination will be ordered.
