There's concern about the number of residents being targeted by scams.
ScamWise NI is a new scheme which has just been launched to raise awareness of online, postal and telephone scams.
Around 17% of the population here have been the victims of scams within the last three years.
Earlier this year bogus FIFA World Cup lottery letters were received by people living in South Derry.
And in a separate scam, a Draperstown resident was conned out a large sum of money.
