A 16-year-old girl was badly injured in a hit and run crash in Derry-Londonderry yesterday afternoon.
The teenager, who had got off a school bus, was hit by a dark silver car on the Racecourse Road near Ballyarnett Village at 4pm.
She suffered a broken leg and fractured pelvis. Police say that she could have been killed in the incident.
The driver of the car sped off after the collision.
Police have asked for the public’s help in tracking down the car and the driver.
They have asked that any motorist in the vicinity at the time of the crash with dash cam footage or who witnessed anything to contact them on 101.
