Growing concern as 182 nurses resign from Belfast Trust within 6 months

The Royal College of Nursing says it's concern about the growing number of members who are leaving the profession.

New figures show 1 hundred and 82 nurses resigned from the Belfast Trust in the first half of this year.

It represents more than half of the 3 hundred and 15 nurses who left between 1st of January and 31st of July.

81 of them retired and 21 transferred within the health service.

Dolores McCormack, of the RCN says she's not shocked - as one of the reasons they took industrial action two years ago, was safe staffing levels:
