A man brandishing a hand gun has demanded cash and cigarettes during a robbery in Belfast.
It happened at an off-licence on the Lisburn Road shortly before 11pm on Friday evening.
Detective Constable Cummings said “ It was reported that at 10:55 pm a man thought to be in his 30s, approximately 5’10” in height of medium build and wearing a dark cap and jacket with his face covered entered the shop.
"He then approached the counter and pulled a black handgun from his pocket before demanding money and cigarettes which he then made off with in the direction of Chadwick Street. "
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
