Police are investigating claims a shot was fired during an aggravated burglary in Downpatrick.
A group of men forced their way into the house on Glebetown Drive on Friday night.
They threatened a woman and her adult son before allegedly firing a shot into the air and fleeing.
Detectives are investigating after males forced their way inside a property in Glebetown Dr, Downpatrick and threatened the occupants with a firearm on Friday. A shot was then allegedly fired into the air by the males as they made their escape. The incident was reported on Sat.

Detective Sergeant Bell said:
“It’s understood that during the incident, which was reported on Saturday afternoon, a number of males forced their way inside a property and threatened the occupants with a firearm.
A shot was then allegedly fired into the air by the males as they made their escape.
A woman and her adult son were in the house at the time.
We currently investigating and I would encourage anyone with information to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference 696 04/05/19.”
