Homes evacuated in north Belfast security alert

A number of homes have been evacuated because of a security alert in north Belfast.

Police are at the scene on Fortwilliam Parade after a suspicious object was found this afternoon.

We're told the item will now be examined.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "there are no further details at present."
