Woman escapes injury as house and car are gutted in Kilrea blaze

A woman's escaped injury after fire engulfed a house and a car in Kilrea in county Derry/Londonderry.

Fire fighters brought in an aerial appliance to help battle the outbreak - at the detached property in The Fairways area.

It's understood the woman was out of the building by the time the Fire & Rescue Service arrived.

Police and fire officers are trying to determine if the cause was accidental or malicious.
