MLA for West Tyrone, Daniel McCrossan, says Brexit is preventing American investment here.
Daniel McCrossan MLA has issued a stark warning over foreign direct investment here post-Brexit.
The SDLP assemblyman says overseas firms won't invest in Northern Ireland after the UK leaves the EU.
The Victoria Bridge-based representative made the comment following a recent trip to the United States.
Mr. McCrossan says the view of American investors was very clear during the visit.
"Those who would invest here, massive companies that would invest here - very clearly told us - without any doubt whatsoever, that the uncertainty that surrounds Brexit is putting off investment, it's preventing investment coming certainly to the North," the West Tyrone man told Q radio news.
"All of the people we spoke to were saying the same thing: Brexit is a bad deal, not only for the UK, but more specifically for Northern Ireland," he added.
