Limavady residents are being urged to ensure their homes are protected from burglars.
The PSNI carried out patrols in the town in an effort to deter would-be thieves.
Officers say they discovered a number of unlocked doors and windows during the patrol.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said:
"Thieves have been known to go around and try doors of houses, any doors left unlocked and the thief will enter your home and lift valuables, perhaps even while you’re in the house watching TV.
"Don’t fool yourself into thinking “not in my neighbourhood” thieves will travel to other neighbourhoods and yours may be on their radar in the run up to Christmas.
"Please look out for your friends and neighbours."
