A major cross channel search was launched in the Irish Sea overnight for two people believed to be missing from a Larne to Cairnryan ferry.
The search began around 10pm and involved a coastguard rescue helicopter as well as Portpatrick and Larne lifeboats.
Local boats also joined the search for the missing people who were on board the European Highlander ferry.
The search was stood down in the early hours of this morning when it emerged the "missing" people had disembarked in Cairnryan.
