A major environmental conference is taking place this afternoon in Derry-Londonderry.
The Gathering, which brings together environmental experts and campaigners, aims to fight against climate change and protect the planet.
Former Undertones frontman and environmental campaigner Feargal Sharkey will address the conference at St Columbs Park House.
He says it is time people woke up to the damage being done:
Sharkey will be joined by Dr. Ciara Brennan, an Enviornmental Law lecturer at Aberdeen University, and 'Friends of the Earth' director James Orr.
Groups such as Action North Waste, Save Our Sperrins, Zero Waste NW and Save Prehen Wood will also be there.
