A man and woman have been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Derry - Londonderry.
A man in his thirties was injured after an altercation in Newmarket Street around 2am on Sunday morning.
The 18 year old woman and 19 year old man were detained by detectives in the city on Monday evening.
Earlier, police appealed for information from a man and woman seen in the area at the time.
They described a man seen in a dark coat and tshirt who had a tattoo on his left forearm, who was later seen without the coat in William Street.
The woman had long dark hair and was wearing a green coat and jeans.
