A man has escaped injury after a number of gunshots were fired at his house in Newtownards.
It happened in the Upper Greenwell Street area shortly after midnight.
Damage was caused to a downstairs window and the inside of the property as a result.
Shortly after the attack police arrived at the scene, where a cordon was put in place.
A Local resident who lives close by said she thought the gunshots were bangs from a sport cars engine.
She was shocked that the crime happened so close to her house.
Meanwhile, local MP Jim Shannon has condemned the attack and says innocent people in the area are the ones who are suffering.
