Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the assault of a male in The Square in the Coalisland area.
A man was bitten and hit on the head with a bottle, during the assault in Coalisland earlier this week.
Police say the attack took place in the area of the Square in the town, on Monday afternoon.
“It was reported on the afternoon of Monday 24th October, a male was assaulted in The Square in Coalisland," the PSNI's Constable Agnew said.
"The assaulted male was hit on the head with a bottle and bitten, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening," he said.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
"We are appealing to anyone who may have any information or may have witnessed this incident to contact Dungannon Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 906 on 24/10/16," Constable Agnew added.
"Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111,” he continued.
