A 29-year-old man is due to appear in court today charged with rape and sexual activity by an adult with a child between the ages of 13 and 16-years-old.
The PSNI says it follows an arrest in the Newry area yesterday as part of a proactive policing operation.
The man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates Court via video link.
