The PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force has charged a 56 year old man with a range of terrorism-related offences.
He was arrested yesterday following searches in the Turf Lodge area of West Belfast.
A 48 year old man who was also arrested in connection with the investigation has been released unconditionally.
A PSNI statement said:
Detectives from PSNI’s Paramilitary Crime Task Force have charged a 56 year old man with possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances, possession of articles for use in terrorism, possession of property for use in terrorism and support of a proscribed organisation. He is due to appear at Belfast MC on Monday 5th August. As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
