A man has died following a road traffic collision in Newtownabbey in the early hours of this morning.
Inspector Paul McCarron said: "The collision was reported to us at 2:20am this morning involving a grey Ford Focus that was located in a field in the Upper Hightown Road area.
"Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area this morning and captured what occurred on their dash cam to contact us on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 105 of 06/05/20.”
The Upper Hightown road was closed for a time but it has now reopened.
