A man in his twenties has been rescued from the sea near Bangor.
His shouts were heard by a passer-by at Ballyholme Bay, who called the Coastguard at around eight o'clock.
A volunteer crew from Bangor RNLI assisted him to safety.
Speaking to Q Radio, Maritime Operations Specialist with the Coastguard Liam Colquhoun says the conditions could have been much worse.
