Police are asking any witnesses to come forward

A man has suffered a gunshot wound to his leg after shots were fired through the front door of a property in Dungiven in Co. Derry/Londonderry.

Police say officers responded to a report that a number of shots had been fired in the Finvola Park area shortly before 9pm on Tuesday evening.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
