A shop worker has been left shaken after being robbed by a masked man armed with a knife in north Belfast.
The suspect, who also had his hood up, entered the shop in the Cavehill Road area at around 10.45pm last night.
He demanded staff hand over money, before making off from the shop with a sum of cash.
Detective Sergeant Natalie Moore said: "This was a distressing experience for the staff member who was in their place of work, doing their job and where they should rightly feel safe.
"I want to appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have observed a man acting suspiciously in this area.
"I would also appeal to anyone who has information which could help us identify the suspect to get in touch with us on 101, and quote reference number 2083 of 09/10/20 or submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/
