Mid & East Antrim Borough's rates to rise

Mid and East Antrim ratepayers are looking at having to shell out an extra £25 a year.

The district rate will be formally struck at a special meeting in the Braid Town Hall next Tuesday,

The rise is an inflation-busting 2%.

And Ballymena Guardian editor Jim Flanagan admits that it will hit some pockets hard:
