Police have identified two people who they were believed to be involved in an attempted distraction burglary, as 'legitimate' callers.
The call happened in the Gartree Place area in west Belfast at around 9.30pm on Friday night.
A man and woman, described as being in their 40s, approached the home of an older person claiming they were there to carry out some work inside her house.
When challenged by a neighbour, police say the pair ran off.
