One person has been arrested in relation to burglaries that have occurred in rural areas of Strabane, following a number of searches carried out by both the PSNI and An Garda Siochana.
A spokesperson for the police in Strabane said:
"Over recent weeks, Police have taken reports of commercial Burglaries in rural areas of Strabane, coinciding with Burglaries reported by our colleagues at An Garda Siochana.
"As a result of Psni officers working along side our colleagues at An Garda Siochana, a number of searches have been completed.
"Subsequently, one person has been arrested in relation to the offences and subsequent stolen items have been recovered.
"Police would ask the wider public to please remain vigilant, especially in rural areas , make note of any suspicious vehicles and please report to Police asap on 101. Thanks."
