Police investigating serious assault in north Belfast

Police are investigating a serious assault on a man in north Belfast last night.

It's understood the victim was attacked in the vicinity of North Queen street.

He's been taken to hospital but the extent of his injuries is unclear.

Local people say a number of young people had gathered in the area prior to the attack.
