Detectives want to speak to the driver of a taxi thought to have picked up three men and a woman in the city centre at 2 that morning.
He dropped them on London Road, and officers believe he may have details which could prove vital to their investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter Montgomery said: “We believe this taxi driver may have information that could prove vital to our investigation and would appeal directly to him to contact the investigation team at Musgrave Street by calling 101 and asking for extension 17712.
