The Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed that Mr Baker was the deceased man found on Saturday.
Detectives are not seeking anyone else in connection with their ongoing investigation into the attempted murder of two people in Bangor on Christmas Eve.
A man aged in his 20s and a woman aged in her 50s had been taken to hospital with serious injuries after the stabbing incident in the Chippendale Avenue area.
Police had previously said one of them was in a critical condition.
In an update on Saturday, police said that both people had been discharged following treatment as they appealed for a man to contact them in relation to the attack.
