Police are keen to speak to the pedestrian who came across an assault on a woman in Greenisland on Sunday.
It's to have happened between 10pm and 11pm that night.
Officers say a man was hitting the woman, whilst the pair were walking in the vicinity of Station Road, Glassillan Grove and Rossmore Green.
A person passing is to have challenged this man about the incident.
The PSNI would like to speak to the pedestrian or any other witnesses in the area at the time.
