Members of the public have been warned not to touch anything suspicious after reports a device has been left in North Belfast.
The warning was issued in the North Queen Street area but the PSNI say extensive searches have been carried.
Officers spent several hours conducting searches between Limestone Road and Duncairn Gardens yesterday evening.
They say nothing was found but people should remain alert.
Anyone who finds anything suspicious has been warned not to touch it, but to contact police as soon as possible.
