A nursing home on the North Coast has taken care to a whole new level - by opening a pub.
Mabel Cole is the manager of the Madelayne Court Care Home on Nursery Avenue in Portstewart.
She told Q Radio that pulling pints for the residents has given them a new lease of life.
"It all began before Christmas when we took a group of residents to a local pub where they were given free beer.
It got us thinking and so we decided it would be nice to have our own pub and it really has created a brilliant atmosphere", says Mabel.
She explains how they came up with the pub's name...
Other care homes are now said to be considering adopting a similar approach.
