Newry Unite community branch is to resume its white picket campaign on the Old Warrenpoint Road today.
It's after an elderly woman was knocked down at the accident black spot last week.
It's understood the seventy-five year-old, named locally as Maura Ruddy, sustained open fractures but no life-threatening injuries.
The activists are calling for traffic calming measures and a reduced speed limit.
The white picket will be staged this evening at 6pm.
