A number of gunshots have been fired in a Street in North Belfast.
Politicians say up to four rounds were discharged in Tyndale area of Ballysillan at around 9pm.
It's understood no one was injured, but children were playing in the street at the time.
A car was also found burned out in the Westland area a short time later, but police have yet to confirm if the incidents are linked.
Councillor Dale Pankhurst said: "I'm shocked and sickened that a shooting has occurred in the street I live in and care for my elderly grandmother.
"The entire street is cordoned off. These days should be long gone."
