Taxi fares across Derry are set to increase around Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Be prepared to pay up to double the rate of your normal fee.
North West Taxi Proprietors took to social media to make users aware of the increased fares.
It will run from Christmas Eve until the 27th and kick in again on New years Eve until the 2nd of January.
New ranks for the city have been announced and will be introduced in the new year.
A spokesperson for NWTP said "Taxi services will be provided throughout the holiday period but we would encourage people to book their taxis in advance to avoid disappointment.
"NWTP would like to commend our local taxi industry for the excellent taxi services provided during 2016 across the city and for the collective work to improve our local taxi industry. We would also like to thank all those community spirited taxi drivers still volunteering by carrying throw-lines and defibrillators.
Happy Christmas and don’t forget to book your taxi in advance!"
