A teachers' union is calling for schools in Northern Ireland to close early before Christmas.
The NASUWT says it would act as a "circuit breaker" in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic as well as ease a serious shortage of teachers.
Spokesman Justin McCamphill also believes students will most likely have to undertake remote learning in the coming weeks.
