Two men have been dragged from a car and assaulted by a gang of up to five men in Newtownards.
One of the victims was beaten with a baseball bat during the incident - in the Weavers Grange area at around twenty past 7 last night.
Police say they received a report shortly after and found one of the victims in his vehicle after being assaulted.
The man in his thirties was then taken to hospital for an arm injury.
One of the suspects is described as being aged mid- 40s to 50s, and is reported to have worn a grey-coloured tracksuit and a black hat.
The other suspect is described as being aged in his 30s with a shaved head. He is reported to have worn dark grey tracksuit bottoms with a red and dark grey top.
Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
