A vet has successfully removed a tumour the size of a £1 coin from the face of a goldfish in Co Tyrone.
The delicate procedure was carried out at Corry and O'Hare Vets in Omagh this afternoon.
They took to social media to celebrate following the successful surgery.

"Poor Thor developed a tumour on his face that was affecting his vision and ability to swim and feed so we decided to admit him for surgery today," a Facebook post read.

"Using a soluble anaesthesia through his water, our fantastic nurses maintained his anaesthesia by moving oxygenated water over his gills whilst we performed this intricate surgery.
"Lucky for Thor, the op was a success and he lives to swim another day!
"Many thanks to Gary from Happy Pets for providing Thor with a recovery tank to keep his wound clean and infection free!"

The impressive operation has attracted praise from dozens of people online.
"Brilliant work as usual Corry & O’Hare," one social media user wrote.
"Can’t believe you operated on a goldfish, fantastic!!"
Another wrote: "This is unreal - I didn’t know this was possible."
