The Western Health and Social Care Trust has launched a 14 week targeted engagement process to receive the views/comments on a proposal to implement a permanent increase to paid car parking charges.
The proposal relates to the rate charged for all paid parking spaces on the Altnagelvin, Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex and South West Acute Hospital sites.
The Trust undertook a public consultation earlier this year on a range of temporary proposals as part of the in year financial savings plan, and included in this was an increase in the car parking charge rate effective from 1 November 2017 to 31 March 2018.
Teresa Molloy, Western Trust Director of Performance and Service Improvement commented:
“This current targeted engagement process is open until 16 March 2018 and relates to a Trust proposal to implement as a permanent measure the increased rate that has been applied temporarily in year.
"The Western Trust remains aligned to the regional policy on car parking provision and management in relation to the setting of charge rates and the proposed permanent rate does represent a balance between local car parking rates and what it costs the Trust to provide, manage and maintain car parking on our hospital sites.”
To provide views and feedback on the proposal, a briefing document outlining the proposal and a questionnaire is available by clicking here:
