The Westlink has re-opened this morning following an "incident last night.
Motorists were diverted away from the area as emergency services responded.
The stretch was closed between Broadway and York Street before re-opening to traffic shortly after 6.30am this morning.
Belfast: A12 Westlink closed in both directions between Broadway & York St. due to a police incident. Local diversions in operation.
