Woman recovering after mountain rescue

A woman is recovering after falling in the Mournes yesterday.

Mountain Rescue, Rescue 116 and the Kilkeel Coastguard responded to the call out at Slieve Donard just after one in the afternoon.

The woman had sustained a leg fracture and was air-lifted to hospital.

Mourne Mountain Rescue said a total of 21 members responded and stood down at 5pm.
