The body of woman in her 20's has been recovered from the River Foyle in Derry Londonderry.
A major search operation was launched after a woman was spotted entering the water at around 11pm last night.
The body was later found near Lisahally Docks.
Police are investigating the circumstances, and say a post mortem will take place in due course.
The charity 'Foyle search and rescue' said "At 23:06hrs on Monday 24th February Foyle Search and Rescues pagers were activated by the PSNI to reports a person had entered the water.
"Emergency Response Teams with NIFRS, Coastguard supported by Irish Coastguard Helicopter 118 and the PSNI commenced a multi agency search.
"At 01:50hrs Tuesday 25th February Foyle Search and Rescue volunteers had the sad task of locating and recovering a body.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family concerned."
