Work has started to restore a lock on the Newry Canal near Portadown.
Peter Maxwell from the Inland Water Association of Ireland (IWAI) says Moneypenny's Lock was damaged when farmers blew it up after a flood fifty years ago.
The work will eventually allow canoes and small boats to travel a further five miles along the canal.
It's expected to be completed by the end of the week.
