Glenavon face Ballymena United in the NIFL Europa League play-off final at the Showgrounds tonight (7.45pm).

Three years have passed since the Sky Blues beat their County Armagh rivals in any competition.

But Glenavon midfielder Andy Kilmartin says David Jeffrey's men are formidable opponents.

A qualification bonus in the region of £200,000 awaits the winners with the prospect of further riches if teams progress in the competition.

Here's Sky Blues defender Johnny Flynn.

Ballymena's top scorer Cathair Friel missed Monday night's 5-2 semi-final win against Dungannon.

He says making it into the Europa League would be a fairytale finish to his first season in senior football after making the move from Limavady...

Glenavon defender Simon Kelly has been ruled out of the showdown at the Showgrounds after aggravating an injury in the semi-final against Cliftonville.

He's disappointed but will be cheering on the team and says he hopes the game is half as entertaining as their 5-3 victory at Solitude on Monday.

The former Dundalk player says the Lurgan Blues have an impressive record to maintain.

Also tonight, Carrick host Institute in the Premiership promotion-relegation play-off decider with the teams tied at 1-1 from the first leg.

Meanwhile, Ryan Catney has been appointed Cliftonville captain by new boss, Barry Gray.
