in GAA, in the Allianz League, it was a tougher test for Fermanagh in their clash with Galway at Brewster Park.
Galway triumphed 1-13 to ten points.
Pete McGrath was confident that Fermanagh would have been able to conquer Galway.
They had got their league programme off to a good start in Newry when they defeated Down by nine points.
But rightly so, McGrath had been expecting a tougher test yesterday.
Fermanagh now face Cork away on Sunday (Feb 26).
Derry also took to the field yesterday.
They were beaten by Meath, 3-15 to 8 points.

In hurling, Derry beat Mayo by 1-14 to 1-13 yesterday.
It was a narrow away win for the Oak Leafers at McHale Park.

Also in GAA, Dublin maintained an unbeaten record with a great comeback to draw with Tyrone on Saturday night.
The Dubs rallied late to secure a draw and stretch their run to 31 games.
Almost 30,000 turned out to watch the game in Croke Park.
Fourteen man Tyrone looked to have done enough in the second half to halt Jim Gavin’s Dublin side.
However, a Dean Rock free four minutes into injury time ensured the spoils would be shared.
Tyrone’s Mark Bradley was sent off in the 51st minute.
That was after a clash with Jonny Cooper.
The final score was Tyrone 1-07, Dublin 10 points.
