Anti-racism & scetarianism motion passed by Mid & east Antrim Council

"Racism, sectarianism, xenophobia and hate crimes have no place in our country." according to Mid and East Antrim Councillors.

 

A motion tabled by Ulster Unionist Councillor Lindsay Millar, was unanimously passed by last night's full council meeting.

The motion began with the phrase " We are poud to live in a diverse and tolerant society".

The word "sectarianism" was added to the motion at the request of Sinn Fein councillor James McKeown.
