First Minister, the Rt. Hon. Arlene Foster MLA and Economy Minister Simon Hamilton today welcomed Principia Mission Astronaut Tim Peake CMG from the European Space Agency (ESA) to Northern Ireland.

Astronaut Tim Peake has officially opened a new £6m satellite manufacturing facility in East Belfast.

The Tallas site will construct Electirc powered rocket boosters in the first operation of it's kind in the UK.

It's hoped the new facility could lead to the creation of a number of high end jobs.

Major Peake spent six months on the International Space Station last year and says we should keep pushing those boundaries.
