A number of Belfast residents have been fined for littering-related offences.
Janey Nesbitt from Vernon Street, William Watson from Enfield Drive, Lynn Severn of Charles Street South and James Norwood of Dunmore Street were each fined £250 in prosecutions brought by Belfast City Council, following failure to respond to requests for information by the council.
Shirley Hynes from Donegall Road and Nadine McBride from Templemore Street were also fined £250 each for dumping waste in an alleyway.
Meanwhile Toni McDaid from Spamount Street received a was forced to pay the same amount for dropping litter on the street.
South Belfast dog owner Paul Towey of Walmer Street was fined for not having a valid licence for a dog in his care and allowing the dog to foul on the street.
In all cases, defendants were ordered to pay costs to the council.
