The black box from the crashed Coast Guard Helicopter, Rescue 116, has been recovered from the sea bed off the coast of County Mayo.
The Data recorder is currently with the Air Accident Investigation Unit and will go to the UK for examination tomorrow.
It's understood the device is in good condition with no apparent external damage.
Jurgen Whyte, from the AAIU said "The recorder is now in the possession of one of my investigators and during the night, after some work, we will recover the recorder back to Dublin where it will be onward flown to the UK Air Accident Investigation branch where it will be prepared for download,” he said.
Crews have been searching for the wreckage of the coast guard helicopter since it went down last week.
It's Captain Dara Fitzpatrick's remains have already been found and she's been laid to rest.
It is thought the bodies of three remaining missing crew members could still be on-board.
