Gold and silver chalices have been stolen from the parochial house of Saint Peter's Chapel in Warrenpoint.
It happened in George's Street South between one and three on Saturday morning.
It's understood the front window was smashed and two rooms ransacked.
Other valuable items were also taken.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious.
